We offer a full nonsurgical program, which includes diet, exercise, incorporation of medications. One of our other nonsurgical type of procedures would be a gastric balloon. Gastric balloons are considered nonsurgical because there is no actual general anesthesia. There is no cuts or incisions. That's a completely reversible process. Then we jump into the realm of surgery, and we have many options there from gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, duodenal switch, as well as lap band. They've had previous procedures from different physicians, different countries, different areas and they are suffering either from weight regain or even complications from their previous procedures. Every new patient that is coming in, we are discussing what all those options are. We are taking plenty of time to sit down, discuss their underlying medical conditions, what they are looking for in surgery, what kind of weight they are looking for, what kind of improvement they want to see in their health, as this practice is 100% dedicated to the bariatric patient. In addition to that, the complement of services that we offer, from psychological counseling to full-time dietitians on our service. Basically, we can handle everything under one roof with our patients and taking care of that patient in a postoperative phase or in patients who choose not to take a surgical route. Treatment of obesity is a long-term commitment. Because we don't have a cure for obesity, we really want our patients to make that commitment to continue to see us lifelong for counseling, accountability and to make sure that the procedures are working appropriately. We want them to have the reassurance there's somebody there helping them, supporting them, and that's going to take care of them both in the good times and bad times, even if they have complications.
